*Note - Intermittent faults that occur rarely are difficult to isolate and resolve. Customers are encouraged to test and identify a process for duplicating intermittent faults before requesting an RA. Providing specific details of the events leading to a fault may significantly increase the likelihood of a successful repair.

A20-RX Upgrade Request

Upgrade your A10-RX to the A20-RX to benefit from SpectraBand technology, high-discrimination front-end filtering, and Frequency AutoAssign. Your unit will have its hardware upgraded by a Sound Devices technician. The cost of this upgrade is $995. If you purchased an A10-RX in the past twelve months or purchased an A20-Mini since June 1st, 2022, the upgrade is discounted to $750. Pre-approval discounts do not apply. This upgrade offer ends 12/31/22.

Please allow for 10-15 business days (2-3 weeks) to complete the upgrade.

The upgrade includes a one-year warranty from the date of the upgrade or retains your original two-year warranty from the date of purchase, whichever is longer.

A20-BatteryDoubler Upgrade Request

The A20-BatteryDoubler is a Sound Devices accessory that doubles your A20-Mini's run time by giving you the option to use two NP-BX1 batteries in parallel!

Using a precise, custom-built fixture, our Service Department will replace your press-fitted door hinge with a removable threaded hinge and install an A20-BatteryDoubler. The new threaded hinge will allow you the option to quickly switch between the standard battery door and the A20-BatteryDoubler. The cost of the upgrade is $200 (including rework as well as the actual new A20-BatteryDoubler accessory).

Customers should not attempt to remove the press-fitted battery door hinge. Damage resulting from a failed attempt will not be covered under the warranty.

Pre-approval discounts do not apply to the A20-BatteryDoubler upgrade. Please allow 10-15 business days (2-3 weeks) to complete the upgrade. The upgrade does not extend your original warranty.
